Ofsted – Monitoring Visit 2

On 15 and 16 July 2025, Chase High School welcomed Ofsted once again for a second monitoring visit. The team, consisting of four HMIs and one inspector, spent two days engaging with pupils, visiting lessons, and talking to staff. They dedicated considerable time to ensuring the school has not only improved since previous inspections but also continues to demonstrate the capacity for further progress. The report is available on the Ofsted website and is linked below. The lead inspector, Steve Woodley HMI, said:

“The school has built upon the improvements that were evident in April 2025.”

“Teachers now use increasingly effective and consistent approaches to lessons. This helps pupils remember and apply important knowledge.”

“The school has made significant strides in tackling issues around misogyny that were evident at the most recent graded inspection (November 2024).”

As before, it was reassuring to have an Ofsted team see the same school I see every day—one that is calm, purposeful, and places the safety and well-being of pupils at the centre of everything we do.

Many documents were shared with Ofsted to evidence our continued progress, including our Post Ofsted Action Plan, a comprehensive 44-page document that has been created to align with our School Improvement Plan. This document has been summarised to explain how all stakeholders can work together to continually enhance the experiences we offer to the young people who attend Chase High School.

POAP - Parents and Pupils

You are welcome to read our latest Ofsted report. In my view, the only way to judge a school is to visit it for yourself. Please contact Mrs. Walton (Headteacher’s PA) via Reception, 01702 354441, if you would like to see the school on a normal working day. We are always happy to show off our vibrant, happy school and to talk about the journey we are on. #ProudToBeChase
