Assessment and Reporting
Chase High School is committed to providing a curriculum that can be accessed by all students and ensuring that we track students' learning to provide the best possible outcomes.
Targets are set for each individual student as they begin their journey at our school based on the scores they achieved in their Key Stage 2 (KS2) Year 6 SATS. For 2020 and 2021 entrants targets are set after baseline tests in Year 7.
Teachers regularly assess student’s progress through year group testing, in-class engagement and through tasks set both in the classroom and as homework. Twice a year teachers’ assessments will be shared with parents through a report. The reports show parents how their child is progressing with their learning and whether they are on track to achieve their target grades at the end of their secondary education here at Chase High. Further information about the content of reports can be found in the links.
Parents’ evenings are scheduled through the year and we hope that as many parents as possible take this opportunity to hear about their child’s progress and to share achievements and struggles.
If you have any questions or concerns about progress or the reports initially, please contact your child’s year administrator.
Together we can help each student achieve their potential.
